Combining my passion for the ocean, and my love for Jesus, is just so amazing! I always want more and found my tribe within Christian Surfers. I love spending time with like-minded people and always feel full after spending time together. I am a father of two lovely daughters and the husband to my beautiful wife- Trish. Family is important to me, and doing things together is such a joy and a blessing.

I started off as a Shortboarder many years ago, and then I saw the light and progressed to Body Boarding- I know, don’t judge! 😊, but the passion for stand-up surfing never left me, and I have progressed to now owning a quiver of boards that now includes a 7.0 and a 9.2 longboard – and am having fun on all of them! I can’t live without…

The sea, ice cream, being kind, thinking & writing stuff down in little notebooks, drinking tea, being creative with paper/textiles/food/words.

You will often find me…

loving people, embracing the adventure that is following Jesus, being kind, encouraging others, smiling, being a nurse, learning to love that I don’t fit a mould, travelling down to the South West like a magnet despite living way north!

I’m Stuart, I live in Bath with my wife, 2 kids and the dog. I’ve been an average surfer for a very long time. Surfing paid a significant part in bringing me back to faith. Stumbled across CS in Polzeath, joined, and love having found my tribe and being able to serve in different ways.

I live in Cheddar, Somerset with my wife Dawn and our three children, Amelia, Rosie and Luke. We have been part of Holy Trinity Church in Weston-super-Mare for over twenty-five years, where Dawn now serves as a minister. I have been surfing for over thirty years and became a Christian after being struck by lightning while out in the water at Carbis Bay in Cornwall. That moment changed everything for me and marked the beginning of a journey where faith and surfing have been closely connected.

These days I mostly surf at The Wave, as it is the closest and most consistent break, although Lynmouth remains my favourite spot. Our children also enjoy surfing, although Dawn is less keen after spending much of her childhood waiting on cold Cornish beaches for her brothers to come in from the sea. I am excited to be joining the Christian Surfers UK board of trustees and look forward to helping grow the Bristol chapter and sharing my faith with more people in the surf community. I also support the Surf Church Collective, where my brother-in-law Rich serves as international director.
