Skate Ministry Conference
With just 2 weeks to go before the UK’s first ever Christian Skate Ministry Conference, delegates applications have been rolling in from all over Europe. With over 40 applications already in, organisers are urging others interested to get their applications in as soon as possible to ensure they are not disappointed.
The aim of the conference is to unite and equip leaders involved in ministry to Skate Culture (Inc Skate, BMX and Roller/Inline Bladers), and with some top speakers confirmed from the UK and the USA it should be an event not to be missed.
Interest for the event has been spreading throughout Europe with delegates confirmed from Sweden, Norway, Spain, Ireland as well as from the UK.
The conference will be held in the excellent facility at the Factory Skate Park, Dundee www.factoryskatepark.com over the weekend of November 9th –11th 2007. Starting on Friday evening, and going on to Sunday Lunch.
Booking forms can be obtained from Catherine Keen firstname.lastname@example.org, or downloaded from www.christiansurfers.co.uk and should be sent, together with a £20 non-refundable deposit to Sutton Ramp Events, 25 Tate Road, Sutton, Surrey, SM1 2SY
The total cost is:
£55 for adults
£45 for those aged 16 - 17 (but must be accompanied by youth leader or responsible adult)
Over the last 18 months the skate community network has been working closely together in the UK, and this has brought numerous benefits to the ministry. They now want to take this to the next level and this is the reason for holding this conference.
Spokesperson for the organisation - Phil Williams (Head of Christian Surfers UK), says:
“We felt this was the next logical step for us as a group. We’ve seen God do some amazing things through skate ministry, and we want to begin to envision both young and old in the UK to see what God is doing with skate communities throughout the UK and Ireland. We are really excited at what God will be doing through this weekend, as we believe God is changing lives through Skate outreach and we want to move forward with this ministry.”
If you want further details contact email@example.com or log onto www.christiansurfers.co.uk and download the Conference booking form.
We would really encourage anyone reading this who is interested in skate ministry or knows of people involved in this ministry, to come to what we believe will be a ground breaking and significant event in extreme sports ministry in the UK.
