Christian Surfers introduced at Stowe School
30th January 2007
Phil had a great opportinity to speak about the work of Christian Surfers UK at one of the UK's most 'famous' public schools on Sunday Jan 28th.
Over 600 pupils came to chapel on the Sunday morning to hear Phil preach (It should be pointed out that they had no choice, but it meant a great opportunity to share about what God is doing)
Stowe school is set in the most stunning grounds in Bucks, and Christian Surfers UK are very grateful to the Rev Robert Jackson for the invitation.
It is hoped that we will be invited back to do a more audio visual presentation one evening. The significant link is that many of the students spend there holidays in the South West and Wales, ie around Rock and Polzeath, so it was great to share about the 'Tubestation' Project. After a show of hands around 80% of the pupils had already tried surfing !!!
As you can see from the photo the chapel was an amazing place. Christian Surfers are always keen to visit and share the work of CS, so if you have any ideas for Church, School, or Youth group visits, just let us know.
