HUGELY ENCOURAGING WEEKEND AS THE CSUK FAMILY GATHERING AT POLZEATH
9th July 2015
Over 120 of us came together for the 21st Christian Surfers UK gathering at The Tubestation in Polzeath , North Cornwall in mid June. People from all around the UK, the Canaries, Australia and a large group from Holland were blessed with nice weather, not wall to wall sunshine but not bad for the what is the weekend with the most light hours in the UK. A steady mix of small to shoulder high light onshore waves gave most something to play on.We were very blessed to have Rev. Tim Matthews from St Swithuns Church, Bournemouth, a new HTB plant as our resident speaker. Tim, a CS member spoke around Luke 10:2 and our theme, ‘working together, achieving more’ and along with the Tubestation band led us in sung worship, and a real presence of God, His leading and what the future might hold for us individually and collectively as CSUK was felt by many. Several people shared their own thoughts throughout the weekend, which was also a mighty blessing .This year we saw three of our crew get baptised in the sea on Saturday evening after testimonies and a torch lit procession to the beach from the church, what an amazing time that was.CS Bournemouth went away with the trophy for best CS group for the last year and Andy Swift, our chairman of trustees was also recognised for his long service to CSUK. At this years Gathering we launched the new ‘CSUK partnership program’ with very encouraging initial results, more of this on the website, we would encourage you to prayerfully consider whether God is calling you to partner with us.So all in all another great weekend, massive thanks to Tim, the Tubestation crew as well as our partners and sponsors, but most of all to our loving Heavenly Father for making this all happen.
