Visit to the CS Portugal Team
29th January 2008
I’ve just returned from 3 days visiting the Christian Surfers crew in Lisbon, Southern Portugal.
The airfares were particularly low on Easyjet at the moment, and a visit to the area was long over due, to see the team. I’m glad to say the weather was somewhat more pleasant than when I was in Holland. I was greeted by bright sunshine, blue sky and light off shore winds with 4-5ft of swell (was this really January?).
I had a great 2-3 days meeting the leadership, reviewing progress made in Portugal over the last year, and also looking at what are the priorities for 2008.
I was particularly pleased to see the first ever non-Lisbon area based Christian surfers person from Porto, and it was great to have fellowship with Vitor, as he’d come down for the evening.
The pictures on the website will show you what a beautiful place it is. I am certainly keen to perhaps take a team over there either to assist at an event that CS Portugal might involve us with, or just as a surf trip during the winter time when the prices are cheap.
Big thanks to all the Portugal crew for making me feel so welcome.
