Visit to the CS Holland Crew

Visit to the crew at Christian Surfers in Holland
Over the weekend of January 17-20 2008 I made my first visit to the CS crew in Holland.
This was long over-due, and we ended up having four great days, sharing fellowship, brainstorming ideas for developments in the country, as well as having some great fun at the (Post) New Years Eve Party, eating pea soup and other Dutch delicacies.
I now know that there is a very healthy surf scene in Holland centred around the town of Scheveningen, and also many other towns up and down the coast including Katwijk.
As far as Christian Surfers is concerned, there are some key contacts with the Dutch Surf Association and local surf shops, with Martijn in Scheveningen, and a great group which started off as S.I.C.K (Surfers in Christ Katwijk) in Katwijk, which has now become a group within CS Holland. I was privileged to be able to attend some of their meetings, share a bit about the strategy for CS in Europe, and meet the leadership during these four days. It was great to see what God is doing in Holland.
I’d like to thank the guys for taking me out into the North Sea on Saturday afternoon to catch a few waves, and have a friendly time with the locals, including one large bull seal !

Please continue to pray for the guys in Holland. Thank you for their perseverance so far, and for the exciting time ahead in 2008.
